Yes. A new framework called HSK 3.0 becomes the global standard in July 2026, expanding the exam to nine levels and raising the vocabulary required at most levels. If you are new to Chinese, start at HSK 1. If you have some experience, we do a short assessment in your first lesson to find the right level. Most adult beginners reach HSK 3 within 6 to 12 months of regular lessons.
With one or two lessons per week and daily review of your PDF notes, most students are ready for HSK 1 or 2 within a few months. Higher levels take longer, but progress is consistent with regular practice.
Not at all. We work from a shared document during every lesson and you receive a personalized PDF afterwards. Over time this becomes your own complete study guide. Textbooks are optional.
Absolutely. Many students combine both in the same lesson, as the vocabulary and structures overlap significantly. We shape every lesson around what you need.
