Not at all, we teach complete beginners through to advanced learners. Your first lesson will include a short level check so we can start in exactly the right place.

All lessons are 1-on-1 via Zoom with a native teacher. You'll receive a link before each session. All you need is a computer or tablet and a stable internet connection.

Yes. You can mix HSK preparation with conversational practice, or shift focus at any point. We shape every lesson around what you need at that moment.

If you have a specific exam goal, HSK Preparation is the right fit. If you want to speak and communicate in everyday situations, Conversational Chinese is ideal. Packages are valid for a minimum of 6 months and up to one year from the date of purchase, giving you plenty of flexibility around holidays and busy periods.

Yes. Just let us know at least 48 hours before your lesson and we will find a new time. Changes requested less than 48 hours in advance will be charged in full.

All lessons are prepaid. When your credits are used up, simply book a new package before your next session. There is no automatic renewal or payment after the fact.

Beijing Duck Chinese is focused on adult learners. For children and teenagers, we offer dedicated lessons through our sister school Marina Chinese, which specializes in fun and engaging Mandarin for younger students.

Our lessons are primarily online, but for students in the Amsterdam area we can arrange private 1-on-1 lessons or a group lesson with students of a similar level. Availability and pricing depend on location and scheduling, so please get in touch to discuss the options.
